Last term of week had started.

1 more week of holiday because I didn't got into Engineering Show. A blessing in disguise.

Work>Tuition>Only left 3 free days

Basically when school starts I won't be left with much time.

Now i've got 3 reports to be done, NO JOKE.

Went picnic with my Boy on last monday!

It had been so long since step into Marina Barrage.

Had been wanting to go since the start of holidays, but the weather always fail me.

Finally the weather had decided not to be cold blanket to my Picnic.

The preparation of food was fun though I wasn't allowed to do anything

because Boyfriend don't let me do. The only thing I did was to boil water for the noodles.

HAHAHA.

Just sat there and watch my Boy prepare everything. :)

Bye 2011.

You haven't been good to me, it seems like every aspects wasn't kind to me.

Experience and been through so much.

On the other hand this roller coaster ride had taught me so much.

Independence, true friends and what I really want are the greatest lesson I've learnt.

Independence was taught during the 6weeks without my dearest family members and

my best friends. The tears I shed at the departure hall should had made me realise their importance but it came a lil too late. I began to realised it when I feel my torment 1st week without them. Swallowing my emotions and tears trying to stay strong wasn't easy at all.

Glad that I've bonded so so much with the girls. Great peeps I met in my poly life!

Taking things as it comes along the way definitely isn't the way to handle things. Decision

made when I'm unsure had caused too much problems for myself. Knowing what I really want with a clearer state of my mind and following my heart.

There are things that I have to really get over myself, because

I know that I cannot change the past and what had happened if not I am missing out all

the amazing and great moments now. Progress has been good since the beginning, hopefully

I manage to let go of everything.

Spent my birthday, Christmas eve, new year eve with my boyfriend. Haven't felt the greatness

of spending festive session with someone special for like !@#$%^&^%$ years. :')

It just brighten up the end of 2011. :)

NOW IN 2012,

-Appreciate my loved one more

-Gain more knowledge

-Able to handle my emotions better and stronger

-Stay Happy :)

-I cannot wait to graduate in 2 or 3months time.

Finally BYE ENGINEERING, I don't know how did i survive this shit for 3 years.

Gonna go for my passion. Will definitely persuade my degree after

1year of working. I know my loved ones pin high hope on me.

Don't worry Dad, Granny and XiaoGu, I will remember those wise words of yours.

Saw this at Chukagai(Japan's Chinatown), my craving just

took control of me. YES i bought it at freaking 6sgd.

Day4- My FAVOURITE day in Japan!

Happened to see their wedding ceremony.

It's very different from sg's one.

Here, the atmosphere filled with excitement, we can

even feel in when we're not even in the picture.

But in Japan, the bride and groom's kimono is much simpler than

the guests' ones. The atmosphere is very solemn.

Really an eye-opener to me, it really amazed me.

I'm still very curious, how can a wedding be so quiet?

Harujuku- AWESOME

The one and only word to describe this place.

It's something like Bugis street in sg whereby the stuffs

are more affordable. Because the standard of living in

Japan is seriously very high.

This is the only place where i spent money without thinking.

It was drizzling outside, the staff wrapped my

paper bag with a thin plastic upon my purchase. Very thoughtful right?

Beautiful short afternoon spent at Aqua city Starbucks chilling alone with a grende Toffee Nut, to boost my energy. Looking at people walking. Elderly, Sweet old couple, pretty lady, sweet couples, good looking man and playful kids. Life havent been so relax. Work, studies, money and stress. This grande of Toffee Nut here with beautiful view is calming my soul. The fast pace footsteps, catching up with the pace. Life is still as busy as Singapore. Had been shopping and sight seeing almost everyday. Listening to the xmas melody and getting everything off my mind. Ambience is great but it would be perfect if there's a good book to keep me company. It made me realise that i havent been burying myself in a good book.

Havent been blogging for a long time, very long i know.

I got to wake up to the reality that holidays had ended.

Last lap and goodbye to poly life.

So far this was the worse holiday ever.

Had a lot of mental wars, one coming after another.

Thanks to those who stood by and the words of comfort. :)

Greatly appreciated.

Spent 3wks on fyp and the rest working like a mad dog.

But i still managed to squeeze out a tiny bit of time to party

w my party ppl. ^^

Had class chalet on the last week.

So far the best one, enjoy much w the peeps.

Great night at Phuture last night!

Got to stop drinking every week, I feel my brain functioning

like shit now.

JAPAN HERE I COME! Abandon those stress, anxiety and

Went Butter w my new group of girls whom I just know from COMEX.

Was kinda bored hence we hoped over to Rebel to find Huimin's friend.

I bumped into Melvin and Junyang and their friends!

Was damn high when I saw them, maybe I was a lil tipsy by then.

I love Ladies Night man.

Sidney Samson was spinning at Zouk on Friday night!

Headed down w Rachel, her cousin, her bf and her bf's friend.

Awesome night too!

Gonna head down Rebel w my Babe this Wednesday!

Havent been clubbing w her for so long.

How time flies, next sunday is my Cousin's wedding already!

I dont know when I feel the twinge of happiness and excitement.

I also know I'm not the one.

It's just that the staircase to a marriage is a very steep one.

From knowing someone>dating>fling>getting into r/s>married

is a very DIFFICULT. You can know someone, date and fling.

If it turns out good you will get into a r/s.

After getting into a r/s it's a different thing, everything comes into the picture.

Compromise, understand, commitment etc.....

Those that are able to do it will be able to live with a happy ending.

Having each other as spouse.

That's why I personally feel that it's not easy to go through

all these small but significant steps.

Still, I feel very happy for my cousin! Happy Marriage! ^^

Bake-ing

Decided to try out new recipe for cheesecakes as I had a block

of cream cheese left from the previous time I baked.

After browsing numerous baking site, one caught my eye!

Which is what you see on top, Strawberry Jelly Crystal Cheesecake. ^^

Well, I admit I'm a cheesecake lover. That's why most of the stuffs I baked

are cheesecakes.

Individual cheesetart and Oreo cheesetart.

Comparison with my previous recipes:

1)It's very simple because it's a no bake cheesecake.

2)Although I'm a mad cheesecake lover, I don't like the cheesy-ness

of this one. I'll add one tsp of lemon juice the next time and make it less cheesy.

3)I love the layering of this cake! PRETTYYYYYY. ^^ However, my jelly was too

watering.

ill improve on the recipe next time round if I baked! More pastry on it's way

after my exam. ^^

Actually, I also don't know why I want to get into local Uni.

The thought of studying for another 3/4 more years is so siannnnnnn.

Perhaps to make my parents happy, because they don't even stress me

on my studies AT ALL.

They're alright if I do not get into local Uni.

Sometimes I wish that they can scold me when I neglect my studies.

I know I sound crazy la, who in the right mind will ask their parents to scold them.

Because the fact that they gave me a lot of freedom and their understanding,

I just feel that I should do something in return.

Hi people!

Alright this time round my wkend was indeed fulfilling.

Catch up with Rachel & Wx and co.

Had our dinner at Tampopo.

Walked aimlessly at CQ to find a nice bar to have our chit chatting session.

It had been a fucking long time since I last met them for a talk! :)

We went Indochine for our chilling session, ordered a Chocolate Martini for

myself.

Kinda interesting, never heard of it before.

It's something that I'll like. :)

Forget to bring camera to capture those beautiful interior design and with the girls.

So I only have 1 pathetic photo of my Chocolate Martini.

Headed to Rebel with Wx & co.

Wx was telling me her story, she couldn't take it and cried.

Be strong girl! It's not worth your tears. you got to be stronger to

get over. :)

Saw many familiars face that night! Kahmeng and her friends then

Cabbed backed w Km and her friends.

Went to work for a private event at Dempsey Hill.

Yet I got the pay within 3days.

Spend my whole afternoon baking these lil pink cupcakes!

Ya la, i skipped school. Because my face is swollen due to my facial treatment yesterday.

I got "NO FACE" to go school with such condition.

Back to topic, about my cupcakes. ^^

The design part suck, i know. I couldn't find my tube which I bought

in 1 month ago!

I just put them into a transparent bag and squeeze the butter frosting out.

Smart Alec la, i know. See the result of my design you know already.

I will buy one tml when I drop by town.

Although it don't look nice, I just don't bear to eat.

Personally I find it cute because both pink and white are my fav colour!

Will bake again on either fri/sat, this time round I'm gonna bake butter cake again.

Baked this butter cake during the wkend!

I smell the passion coming back, it's a good sign. :)

Haven't even touch any of my books, had been partying almost

every wk during this term.

Partying, Working, Tuition, Shopping.

Leaving no time for myself and my studies, gonna get my ass down

to study soon. I hope that it will be pretty soon.

No one is dependable. It's a simple thing just bear it in mind.

Nobody will always be there for you, you just got to handle your

emotions and everything all by yourself 1st.

Had been think this for quite some time yet I did not have

the courage to do so.

Monday, i went to cut 5inches off. I started considering.

After pestering A LOT OF people,

asking them the same question repetitively.

EH YOU THINK HOR, I SHOULD CUT MY HAIR ANOT AH?

Within every 20mins. :/

I know irritating la, but I really want to know before i cut.

Moreover, I had long hair for 6yrs. Definitely I don't bear to cut it.

Studying mood still not here yet and it's the 5th wk already.

Had been partying for every wkend.

I know it's an unhealthy lifestyle and yet my parents didnt forbid.

My same old sentence, "How lucky i am to have them."

The sweetest thing was, dad came to rebel to fetch me whereby he

could have went home and rest.

This week was rather relaxing.

Skipped sch on mon and went to DrLoke for my complexion problem.

The worse thing is I forgot to ask for my MC. -.-

Juggling schoolwork, work and tuition is tiring sometimes.

A lot of people had been advising me to just concentrate on my studies since it's my last year.

Well, I enjoyed my stay in China, esp the stress free lifestyle.

Here's the RELAXING schedule:

8.15am: Bus will fetch us from the hotel to the hostel for lesson

8.30-9.30am: Breakfast

9.30-12pm: Lesson, it usually end early so it'll be our free time and we'll

like badminton and soccer

12-12.30pm: Lunch

12.30-2.15pm: Afternoon nap

2.30-5.30pm: Lesson, it usually end early too

5.30-6pm: Dinner

6pm: Bus will fetch us back to hotel

VERY RELAXING LIFE. I want to live like that forever.

The only thing I have to worry about is what to eat.

6 wks away from home, I miss my family and friends during my stay.

I did enjoy my trip. :)

And now my hair is so wtf out of shape, because I didn't trim my bangs.

Actually I go plenty of time to trim one, but hor I heard ppl telling me that,

you shouldn't trim your hair before exam because you may tend to forget things.

I know I'm very superstitious I also don't know why I'm like that.

Even my dad and mum say I very kua zhang. -.-

Nvm one la, as long as I feel that it can boost my confident can alr.

The good news is tml will be my last paper! So happy la.

2011 have been good so far. I see myself smiling almost everyday.

Hello everyone, sorry for not updating.

This post is gonna to be a long one.

Class chalet was fun with the drinking game on the 2nd night.

Went out on the 2nd day of the chalet to celebrate Granny's bday.

Had our dinner at GuiLin restaurant. :)

The food there is nice but not awesome. Enjoyed the dinner will

chatting and jokes filling our stomachs.

Sis, Ahkai and Jack these 3 irritating ppl kept disiao-ing me and

tell me stupid stuffs like uncle booked 8tables and invited

granduncles to the dinner. I am stupid enough to believe them

and kept asking mum where are they.

Then mum looked at me with the O.O look, still got granduncles meh?

Most of them passed away already lehs.

I was like wtf, these 3 didi and meimei always make me xiasuey one.

Uncle go back to Japan already. :(

I keep bugging him to buy more Shiroi Koibito. I LOVE THEM.

Because it's like OMG so damn nice~ The vanilla w the crispy-ness.

If the box wasnt meant for everyone at Granny house, I can

finish the whole box all by myself. I'm drooling now as I think of it man.

I think I'm the one who ate most of it at Granny's house. Hehe.

Next time when he come back, I MUST ask him to buy the one box for me.

Missed out 5days of school already w 2 days of mc.

Was really sick and lost my voice, felt v useless during those few days that

I threw nasty temper at my family members esp Mum.

It really suck when I couldn't express myself properly.

It isn't giving me a good time but the good news is I'm no longer working.

Had to give myself a break from the work>tuition>work>tuition schedule.

Really had fun during the celebration, I felt happier than my birthday!

Mel, zy and I went to bought a small chocolate cake for her.

During xmas session people come for chocolates and xmas gifts.

Not makeup and skincare. Sales was a piece of shit.

Anyway, I had fun wrapping these doggies and those present!

20th December

Went Sentosa w them, had fun playing monkey and captain ball.

My hands and legs nerve is somehow connected to my mouth.

When the ball comes near me, I will scream then run and pick the ball.

I don't know what's wrong with my body, nervous system got problem I guess.

After that I was throw into the sea by them, because

they say I'm the birthday girl.

After that went to the Hawker centre for our dinner.

These 2 sweeties came down w 2 cakes 2 surprise me! Love you~

Singing birthday song, walking down behind me!

OMG, I was so shocked to see both of them here. Really touched and speechless.

I know it isn't easy to plan surprise. Planning, timing etc , really not easy.

Happily eating. HAHAH.

Sis and I Accompany Mum to SGH for body checkup.

Then went Chinatown to shop shop > Town > PoMo(Dinner) > Bugis.

The dinner was not bad though I didn't eat much.

I think my appetite wasn't as good as before.

I get used to leaving 1/3 of my rice behind even if I ask for less rice

I still will left a bit behind. I know I'm wasting food, I feel better when I left some behind.

Thanks Diana for passing the present to XiaoQian just to make it on time for my birthday.

Hi December!

Time really flies~ Sound so cliche.

It's somewhat unbelievable that it's the last month of 2010.

Busying studying for mst, after next friday I'll be a happy girl!

Can't wait to meet up with my Gfs, shopping, chit chatting. :D

2010 had been great, or rather awesome.

I had learned a lot especially during this few months,

seen many of my flaws and getting to know myself better.

My biggest flaw: HAVING PASSION WHICH EVAPORATE RAPIDLY.

Really rapidly, I also want to know why is it so.

Looking back in every single things I took up, I never once complete one.

That's why I don't have flair in anything.

An irreversible mistake whereby was damage caused, also to myself.

Getting closer to my dearest family member every year.

Being able to speak up and share every aspect of life with them. :)

I should say I really have very very understanding and supportive parents,

giving me freedom and space which every teenager wants. I'm really content.

I think in my previous life, I must have done a lot of good deeds. HAHAH.

I have an understanding Mum who tolerate my nasty temper when things wasn't

good at times. She told me she didn't take it to heart, when I apologised.

I have a thoughtful Dad who fetches me to places, despite his long day of work.

I have a sweet Sister who can give me good advices. Well it's ironic in a way.

I finally got them frame up!

Gonna give school a miss, seriously my body really acting funny.

Headache, body ache, sore throat and gastric.

Well, last sem when I took Psychology for GEMS i learn about

Thinking Distortion.

Sometimes i really think that my thinking are really distorted.

I decided to google about it. Here are those info.

1. Filtering.

We take the negative details and magnify them while filtering out all positive aspects of a situation. For instance, a person may pick out a single, unpleasant detail and dwell on it exclusively so that their vision of reality becomes darkened or distorted.

(I think sometimes I'm like that.)

2. Polarized Thinking.

Things are either “black-or-white.” We have to be perfect or we’re a failure–there is no middle ground. You place people or situations in “either/or” categories, with no shades of gray or allowing for the complexity of most people and situations. If your performance falls short of perfect, you see yourself as a total failure.

(Ya ya! I seek perfection too much.)

3. Overgeneralization.

We come to a general conclusion based on a single incident or piece of evidence. If something bad happens once, we expect it to happen over and over again. A person may see a single, unpleasant event as a never-ending pattern of defeat.

4. Jumping to Conclusions.

Without individuals saying so, we know what they are feeling and why they act the way they do. In particular, we are able to determine how people are feeling toward us. For example, a person may conclude that someone is reacting negatively toward them and don’t actually bother to find out if they are correct. Another example is a person may anticipate that things will turn out badly, and will feel convinced that their prediction is already an established fact.

(I always jump to conclusions w/o even trying)

5. Catastrophizing.

We expect disaster to strike, no matter what. This is also referred to as “magnifying or minimizing.” We hear about a problem and usewhat if questions (e.g., “What if tragedy strikes?” “What if it happens to me?”).

For example, a person might exaggerate the importance of insignificant events (such as their mistake, or someone else’s achievement). Or they may inappropriately shrink the magnitude of significant events until they appear tiny (for example, a person’s own desirable qualities or someone else’s imperfections).

6. Personalization.

Thinking that everything people do or say is some kind of reaction to us. We also compare ourselves to others trying to determine who is smarter, better looking, etc. A person sees themselves as the cause of some unhealthy external event that the were not responsible for. For example, “We were late to the dinner party and caused the hostess to overcook the meal. If I had only pushed my husband to leave on time, this wouldn’t have happened.”

7. Control Fallacies.

If we feel externally controlled, we see ourselves as helpless a victim of fate. For example, “I can’t help it if the quality of the work is poor, my boss demanded I work overtime on it.” The fallacy of internal control has us assuming responsibility for the pain and happiness of everyone around us. For example, “Why aren’t you happy? Is it because of something I did?”

(This one a bit also.)

8. Fallacy of Fairness.

We feel resentful because we think we know what is fair, but other people won’t agree with us. As our parents tell us, “Life is always fair,” and people who go through life applying a measuring ruler against every situation judging its “fairness” will often feel badly and negative because of it.

9. Blaming.

We hold other people responsible for our pain, or take the other track and blame ourselves for every problem. For example, “Stop making me feel bad about myself!” Nobody can “make” us feel any particular way — only we have control over our own emotions and emotional reactions.

10. Shoulds.

We have a list of ironclad rules about how others and we should behave. People who break the rules make us angry, and we feel guilty when we violate these rules. A person may often believe they are trying to motivate themselves with shoulds and shouldn’ts, as if they have to be punished before they can do anything.

For example, “I really should exercise. I shouldn’t be so lazy.” Mustsand oughts are also offenders. The emotional consequence is guilt. When a person directs should statements toward others, they often feel anger, frustration and resentment.

(That's why I'm always in dilemma.)

11. Emotional Reasoning.

We believe that what we feel must be true automatically. If we feel stupid and boring, then we must be stupid and boring. You assume that your unhealthy emotions reflect he way things really are — “I feel it, therefore it must be true.”

(Isn't it true? If you feel it that way, then it must be, right?)

12. Fallacy of Change.

We expect that other people will change to suit us if we just pressure or cajole them enough. We need to change people because our hopes for happiness seem to depend entirely on them.

13. Global Labeling.

We generalize one or two qualities into a negative global judgment. These are extreme forms of generalizing, and are also referred to as “labeling” and “mislabeling.” Instead of describing an error in context of a specific situation, a person will attach an unhealthy label to themselves.

For example, they may say, “I’m a loser” in a situation where they failed at a specific task. When someone else’s behavior rubs a person the wrong way, they may attach an unhealthy label to him, such as “He’s a real jerk.” Mislabeling involves describing an event with language that is highly colored and emotionally loaded. For example, instead of saying someone drops her children off at daycare every day, a person who is mislabeling might say that “she abandons her children to strangers.”

14. Always Being Right.

We are continually on trial to prove that our opinions and actions are correct. Being wrong is unthinkable and we will go to any length to demonstrate our rightness. For example, “I don’t care how badly arguing with me makes you feel, I’m going to win this argument no matter what because I’m right.” Being right often is more important than the feelings of others around a person who engages in this cognitive distortion, even loved ones.

15. Heaven’s Reward Fallacy.

We expect our sacrifice and self-denial to pay off, as if someone is keeping score. We feel bitter when the reward doesn’t come.

(Ya, because I expect my effort to be pay off ultimately.)

for training, catching up and working.

It's time to balance things up.

Nothing had started, I am already very tired.

The thought of school never fail to make me feel tired one lah.

Sometimes I really love drawing, an unique way of expressing

my thoughts w/o speaking up.

That's the only way to voice out without being destructive.

Although it's not v well done, I always feel better after drawing.

I love drawing trees, because there are many parts to actually

express my emotion.

Anw, i enjoy her company.

I remember when I was young, I used to berate my Mum

for giving birth to her.

As a kid, I admit that I dislike losing all my attention to her

and I wished I am the only child in my family.

HOWEVER, as I grow older I began to realise that she's

the best present that my parents gave me.

She's someone whom I can confide almost everything to and

always giving me advices in different

Went rollerblading at ECP with KM, QS, SH and SH.

Didn't expect myself to tried that after my first attempt failed.

As usual, I was screaming and shouting when I couldn't

Ysd was really a Fun night ~

Spent more than 12hours outside was indeed tiring.

Reached home at around 7plus,

Dad is already awake preparing to go off for work.

Hellooooooooo, I am back again to share on those harmful ingredient

in cosmetics and toiletries we use everyday.

I had heard of those harmful ingredients but little did I know

that it cause so much harm to our body.

Here's the lists of the Most Harmful ones

1. Alpha-Hydroxy Acids

Active ingredient in: Moisturizers, toners, cleansers, masks, age-spot removers

Potential Harm: AHAs are known for accelerating the exfoliation of dead skin cells. But they can also increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun by as much as 50 percent, leaving you exposed to accelerated skin aging and the possibility of skin cancer.

Potential Solution: AHAs are best used at a concentration that is less than 10 percent.

2. Formaldehyde (This is really common lehs. Shit.)

Active ingredient in: Nail polish, shampoos, soaps, skin creams.

Potential Harm: This potentially irritating preservative can be absorbed into the skin and cause allergic reactions, headaches, even asthma. The ingredient, if listed at all, is often referred to as formalin. Its use in cosmetics is banned in Japan and Sweden.

Solution: Read labels carefully: products containing levels that might trigger an adverse reaction are required to carry a caution.

3. Propylene Glycol

Ingredient in: Suntan lotions, lipsticks and other cosmetics and toiletries.

Potential Harm: Its humectant properties are used to stop products from drying out. But it has also been linked to liver abnormalities and kidney damage. It is also known as a skin and eye irritant.

Solution: Avoid it altogether and instead choose alternative products containing glycerin or sorbitol.

4. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

Active ingredient in: Bubble baths, toothpastes, shampoos and lotions

Potential Harm: This detergent, which has been found to enter the brain, heart and liver and impair the immune system, has been linked to eye irritations, skin rashes and allergic reactions. The biggest problems occur when it is mixed with other chemicals, like those typically used in toiletries, because it can form carcinogenic compounds.

Solution: Minimize the risks by using products with SLS sparingly and rinsing off quickly afterwards.

5. Talc

Ingredient in: Makeup and body powders

Potential Harm: Mineral talc has been linked to ovarian cancer and has been found to induce cancer in rodents.

Solution: Avoid using talc-based powders, especially on genital areas.

6. Mineral Oil

Ingredient in: Makeup removers, lipsticks, lotions

Potential harm: A petroleum derivative, it has been linked to everything from clogged pores to cancer. Its density does not allow skin to breathe.

Solution: Avoid it entirely

7. Methyl Methacrylate

Ingredient in: Nail products, primarily used in application of acrylic nails

Potential harm: The chemical has been linked to fungal infections, nail deformities and other problems. Prolonged exposure can lead to eye, skin and lung irritation, abnormal liver or kidney function, nervous system damage or reproductive problems.

Solution: Stick with salons that use ethyl methacrylate, a safer bonding liquid, instead. Although this may be more expensive; you health is worth it!
